Heatsave Plus consists of rigid insulation units manufactured from lightweight, closed cell, Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) laid between pre-stressed concrete beams and finished with a structural topping.
It provides a suspended thermal floor designed for ground floor residential applications that meets stringent Part L Building Regulations and is BBA approved. At 2.5kg per panel, the system is easy, quick and simple to install and brings with it environmental and financial benefits.
Thermal performance and Part L Building Regulations
By combining the exceptional insulating properties of rigid, Expanded Polystyrene infill panels (EPS) and minimal cold bridging, Heatsave Plus can achieve exceptionally low ‘U’ values of up to 0.18 w/m2k, comfortably exceeding Part L Building Regulations. This high thermal performance helps to improve the overall energy efficiency of a building, whilst eliminating the need for additional insulation, chipboard or screed finishes, thereby significantly reducing installation costs.
Simple to install
Lightweight Expanded Polystyrene infill panels makes easy handling, cutting and installation. Unlike conventional flooring, the EPS panels used in Heatsave Plus are positioned between the pre-stressed concrete beams rather than on top. At just 2.5kg per panel, the lightweight system is also simple to handle and fast to install providing contractors with greater ease of installation.
