Toplite Floor blocks
Floor blocks are aircrete infill units for use in suspended beam and block floors. They are light and quick to install, and provide effective thermal insulation and acoustic performance for meeting the requirements of the Building Regulations. They have a face size of 440mm x 535mm.
Toplite Floor applications
- Suitable for use in beam and block ground and internal floors in single occupancy dwellings under domestic loading.
- Where high point loading is anticipated, such as in garages, a reinforced structural topping must be used.
- Where the floor loading dictates closer beam spacing, a 440mm x 215mm x 100mm Toplite Standard should be used, spanning its 215mm dimension only.
Toplite Floor specification
- Mean compressive strength: 3.6N/mm²
- Minimum transverse strength: 3.5KN
- Thermal conductivity: 0.15W/mK
- Gross dry density: 630kg/m³
- Unit weight: 15.3kg
Toplite Floor is manufactured to comply with EN 771-4.
Unit weight is approximate and calculated based on the specified dry density with 3% moisture content by weight added to provide equilibrium weights.
Toplite Floor working dimensions
Face dimensions are 440mm long x 535mm wide x 100mm deep.
Toplite Floor environmental performance
Toplite Floor is manufactured under an ISO 14001 compliant Environmental Management System that is independently certified by BSI. Summary green guide ratings applicable to Toplite Floor aircrete blocks can be found in the BRE Green Guide to Specification www.thegreenguide.org.uk.
