Topcrete RD Application Sketch

Topcrete RD dense blocks

Topcrete RD blocks are purpose designed dense blocks for the construction of solid separating walls in dwellings conforming to Robust Detail E-WM-9.

Topcrete RD benefits

- Can be used in separating walls without the need to undertake routine pre-completion testingˆ

- Unique end grooves aid site identification.

- Quicker and cheaper to build than cavity separating walls.

- Strong enough for most low and high rise building requirements

ˆ Pre-completion testing not required provided building plots are pre-registered with Robust Details Ltd.

Topcrete RD specification

- Mean compressive strength: 7.3N/mm²

- Dry density: 1900 to 2000kg/m³

- Unit weight: 18.5 kg

- Laid weight excluding finishes: 416kg/m²

Unit and laid weights are approximate and calculated based on the specified dry density with 3% moisture content by volume added to provide equilibrium weights.

Topcrete RD is manufactured to comply with EN 771-3, tolerance category D1, and conforms to Category 1 manufacturing control as specified in BS 5628-1.

Topcrete RD working dimensions Topcrete RD

Topcrete RD blocks are 440mm long x 215mm wide x 100mm high. They should be used laid flat to construct a 215mm width wall.

Topcrete RD quantities

The product is sold as a 215mm width block on a square metre basis (m²).
There are 20 blocks supplied per m² of wall.

Topcrete RD environmental performance
