The Code for Sustainable Homes 'Responsible Sourcing' - Use of Tarmac Products
This aspect of sustainability performance is featured in Category 3 Materials of the Code for Sustainable Homes. The requirements for demonstrating Responsible Sourcing are summarised in the Technical Guide to the Code for Sustainable Homes, Category 3 Materials, Tables 1 and 2.
Environmental Management System Certificate (pdf)
Tarmac operates an Environmental Management System ( EMS) which complies with ISO 14001 for concrete products and other construction materials. This can be used as evidence in support of Tarmac products when addressing legality and responsible sourcing requirements of The Code for Sustainable Homes as well as other environmental assessment methods.
