Durox Foundation aircrete blocks - 620mm long
Durox Foundation aircrete blocks are 620mm long and produced specifically for use below DPC in solid walls. They can be used to support cavity, solid or framed construction and provide a number of benefits for below ground work.
They are available in strengths of 3.6N/mm² and 7.3N/mm².
Durox Foundation 620 benefits
- Speed of construction - compared to cavity work, construction time is improved and the Foundation wall becomes stable soon after laying, allowing the early start of above ground work
- Save money - replaces the inner and outer leaf, wall ties and concrete cavity fill associated with conventional cavity walls
- Excellent performance - good resistance to freeze/thaw conditions and contributes to perimeter edge insulation
- Suitable for use in sulfate conditions up to DS-2 (3.6N/mm² blocks) and DS-3 (7.3N/mm² blocks).

Durox Foundation is manufactured to comply with EN 771-4 and conforms to Category 1 manufacturing control as specified in BS 5628-1.

Unit and laid weights, which are given for design purposes, are approximate and calculated based on the specified dry density with a 3% moisture content by weight added to provide equilibrium weights. Delivered block weights will be approximately 22% higher.
