University of Manchester - Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre

(MIB) has been designed for the scientific
culture of the university, the building will
house over 500 scientists and 85 different
research groups.
Eliot Park Innovation Centre
The EPIC building has been designed to
accommodate technology based business
start-ups. It is claimed to be the best
specified and finished building of its type
in the Midlands.
University of East Anglia Nursing and Midwifery
The NAM building was developed by the University as there was an increase in both staff and students and the facilities at their previous site were not seen as modern methods of teaching. The NAM building has ‘State of the Art’ seminar and meeting room facilities, new skills laboratories, site catering and a 200-seat lecture theatre.
Institute of Arable Crop Research
This building houses laboratories (non-TermoDeck) and general open-plant scientific write-up areas, as well as the main reception for the site. As can be seen from the picture above, solar defence was important to protect the large areas of glazing and to prevent the need for traditional cooling.
Jubilee Library Brighton
The Brighton Jubilee Library is a £45 million
development that consists of three floors
of office accommodation, reading areas and
computer rooms, all surrounding the two-storey
library hall.
Hautlieu School Jersey
This school building has been constructed
as a state of the art, low-energy building
for the States of Jersey which is committed
to providing a long-term environmentally
friendly solution for the island.
Met Office Exeter
This move for the Met Office was inevitable. Its forty year old Bracknell headquarters was costly to maintain and ill equipped to house today’s modern IT Infrastucture. Servicing the new headquarters was always going to be challenging. The design team agreed that a mixed mode ventilation system with TermoDeck was the best design proposal.
