Termodeck building awarded highest ever BREEAM score

A newly constructed commercial building in Leeds has been awarded the highest ever BREEAM rating - 87.55% - by utilising the high thermal mass of structural hollowcore concrete.

The £8 million school project is the first building in the UK to utilise an underground, Interseasonal Heat store (IHT) and works in tandem with TermoDeck, Tarmac's high thermal mass and mechanical ventilation system to heat and cool the building.
