Risk management

Tarmac uses the Anglo American Internal Risk Management (IRM) guidelines as a framework for identifying and assessing the key risks to achieving our business objectives. Senior management teams review these key risks to ensure they remain up to date and that any appropriate changes are implemented.

We assess risk in terms of its impact on achieving our strategic objectives, performance objectives and legal or regulatory compliance. The Anglo American Business Assurance Services provides independent assurance of the control systems in place across our business and on the effectiveness of our business risk management processes.
