Macro fibre concrete
Toproc MF replaces the need for steel fabric in concrete and tackles crack control
What is Toproc MF macro fibre concrete?
Toproc MF macro fibre concrete has high strength because of the macro synthetic fibres throughout the concrete mix. It is very cohesive with a dense micro structure. Toproc MF also contains silica fume which reduces the concrete’s permeability.

- Commercial and retail flooring
- Strong internal flooring
- Recycling plants flooring
How does Toproc MF tackle crack control?
In traditional concrete, containing steel fabric, crack reduction is reliant on the steel fabric being placed in the correct position otherwise the level of protection is reduced.
Within Toproc MF, the fibres are uniformly distributed throughout the concrete matrix ensuring cracks are restrained from propagating, regardless of where the cracks start. Toproc MF will also improve impact and spalling resistance when compared to conventional concretes offering greater protection to exposed areas such as the joint arris.

Toproc MF and cracks
The main performance benefit of Toproc MF is that it will enhance the post-cracking toughness of the concrete or its ability to sustain loads after cracking. Toproc MF will achieve a post cracking flexural strength (Re3) in excess of 30% and can be designed to replace the following conventional crack-control steel fabric A142, A193, A252 and A393.
