No rusting steel mesh

  • Removes the need for steel mesh, with no steel to fix.  There is no need for placing steel fabric and no manual handling involved. This improves site safety when laying your concrete flooring.
  • No need for stock piles of steel mesh on-site, saving on storage costs.
  • No delivery waiting and costs. No cranes required to move steel fabric from place to place.  Again saving of delivery and equipment hire costs.

Health and safety benefits

  • Topforce reinforced concrete helps to improve site safety by removing trip hazards, manual handling risks, cuts from sharp edges and off-cuts when handling steel fabric.
  • Topforce has also achieved NHBC acceptance for residential home builds.
  • Topforce also removes the hazard of walking backwards to place steel mesh and pour concrete onto the mesh.

Reduces your CO2 figures

  • Topforce reinforced concrete reduces your CO2 figures compared to concrete with steel mesh. Lower carbon is achieved as there is no need to transport steel reinforcing mesh.

Low carbon footprint

  • Based on a study by ENVIROS (new window), macro-synthetic fibres are proven to have at least a 70% lower carbon footprint (per unit area of concrete) when compared to crack-control steel wire fabric and steel fibres.  This is when Topforce concrete with macro fibres is used.

Cost-effective, long-lasting and time-saving

  • Topforce is a cost-effective, long-lasting and time-saving concrete which offers a faster build technique enabling contractors to handover sites more quickly. It is easy to lay the concrete floor and saves on man hours with no extra equipment needed. It can save one day fixing or three man days on fixings per 100m3 job.

Shorter construction time

  • If you want to speed up construction time, Topforce takes less time to install than traditional ready mixed concrete with steel mesh. Some contracts have reduced construction time by up to 3 weeks just by using Topforce.
  • See the Topforce video to see this difference in time.

Topforce reinforced concrete vs traditional steel mesh with ready mixed concrete

Longer life and reduced whole life costs

  • Topforce reinforced concrete has a longer life as there is no rusting or protruding of the steel reinforcing mesh. Topforce gains its strength from fibres within the ready mixed concrete.

What benefits will I get by using Topforce reinforced concrete instead of a traditional method conventional ready mixed concrete?

  • Resistance to impact and abrasion
  • Flexural strength
  • Density
  • Crack control
  • Resistance to freeze-thawing
  • Mix cohesion
  • Durability
  • Resistance to severe fire and explosions
