Limestone from Tunstead is processed on a dedicated Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) production plant and is delivered by rail direct to coal fired power stations. FGD plants installed on coal fired power stations reduce emissions of acidic gases, predominately sulphur dioxide, and help power stations comply with environmental legislation.
