Marine aggregates
Marine dredged aggregates from Tarmac Marine Dredging (TMD)
Marine aggregates employs two types of dredging technique:
Anchor dredging
where a vessel is anchored over a deposit. This is effective in working thick, localised reserves.
Trailer dredging
is suitable for more evenly distributed deposits. The dredger trails its pipe along the seabed at speeds of up to 1.5 knots.
Using survey data as a guide, dredging is undertaken to a high degree of accuracy. Dredger tracks are displayed with geological information on the ship's navigation computer to ensure that only the best quality resources are dredged.
