Granite
Granite as a Tarmac aggregate
Granite is an igneous rock with a medium to coarse texture. Granites can be pink to dark grey or even black in colour depending on the chemistry of the rock.
Granite is of a similar density to Gritstone; however, it does not have the same PSV properties. Granite is often used in the lower layers of a pavement and in concrete applications.
