With our major long-term framework contracts in many areas and counties in the UK and our in house recycling division, Tarmac Recycling, we are well placed to provide a full package of sustainable products and services.

Wherever possible, the company minimises overall materials usage whilst maximising the use of recycled materials within any project, moving materials up the value chain.

To ensure we minimise our output to landfill we will adopt the following processes:

Identify opportunities as early as possible
Adopt the principles of the The Waste Hierarchy
Utilise latest product technology
Analyse waste streams for re-use
Reduce disposal costs
Adopt a right first time, zero defects policy thus reducing waste and cost
Site managers reconcile qualities of materials brought onto site against those used to ensure that as little waste as possible is created
Orders for materials are accurate and efficiently timed
Monitor plant utilisation

Through Tarmacs extensive business portfolio we have access to an unrivalled resource of materials and resources. In all of our contracts we provide access to all of our resources including materials we produce, technical and design advice and recycling capability through Tarmac Recycling our in house UK wide division.
