TarmacDry for Withywood car parkTarmacDry for Withywood car park

Architects Quattro Design who specialise in residential, community, health and education projects were contracted to design a 2,000m2 car park at the Withywood community centre. They choose Tarmac's porous pavement system to meet the sustainability requirements of the brief and minimise the impact of the development on the local environment. The design needed to incorporate a porous asphalt car park with an in-built weir system, which let surface water flow into a nearby reservoir.

Coloured permeable asphalt for car parks

Blakenhall's permeable coloured asphalt car park

The All Saints and Blackenhall Community Development (ABCD) has been designed to the highest specification with regard to energy conservation and sustainable building materials, with an overall BREEAM target of Excellent.
