Quicklime

Quicklime (calcium oxide) is produced from high purity Derbyshire Limestone in 3 different types of kiln.

This allows Buxton Lime to produce the widest range of quicklimes available in the UK. Customers can then benefit by selecting products to best match their needs.

As the Quicklime is discharged from each kiln it is crushed and screened. Some of this product is sold as granular or lump material, or transferred to one of our grinding plants for further processing.

Our range of Quicklimes now include:

- Calbux - for use in the Industrial, environmental and construction markets.
- Limbase - Soil stabilisation and contaminated land remediation.
- Biocal - designed for the needs of the Biosolids markets.

For all ground limes liquid additives can be coated onto the particle surfaces at the customers request. Flow enhancers and reactivity retarders are available if required.
