Light, bright pedestrian area at MOTO Services, Wetherby
MOTO Services have built a new service station at Junction 46 of the A1(M) near Wetherby. As well as being built using the latest technology to cut power consumption, the site will also include four hectares of new woodland to reduce its environmental impact and help it blend in with the surroundings. The architects wanted an attractive pedestrianised area to link the car park with the service station and complement the design of the building.
Tarmac's Solution
In response to a brief laid down by MOTO Services, Tarmac developed a pedestrian area covering 4,000 square feet. Mastertint was specified to mark out a distinctive pathway and pedestrian space within the area.
Aesthetics were important and the architects wanted light, bright
surfaces outside as well as on the building. White and light
grey asphalt were used to tone in with the design of the service
station and create an attractive outside space.
It was also important that the product was durable and long
lasting and also quick and easy to install.
