Who we are
Tarmac is the UK's largest quarrying company and the supplier of building materials to the construction industry. We are a market leader for aggregates, ready mixed concrete and asphalt. Other parts of the business include; Tarmac National Contracting and Tarmac Buxton Lime and Cement.
The company has been involved in some of the UK's biggest construction projects including Wembley Stadium, Emirates Stadium, the M1 widening, M25 resurfacing and most recently London 2012.
Part of everyday life
Our products are literally part of the fabric of everyday life – providing the materials used in houses, workplaces, schools, hospitals, flood defences, roads, bridges, tunnels and environmental protection. Many other products – from paper and glass to drinking water, food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and toothpaste – are also manufactured using Tarmac products.
