Industry involvement
Tarmac's involvement with trade associations and industry initiatives
It is important that we establish and maintain links with local and national Government, local authorities, regulators, public bodies and trade associations. Tarmac has a responsibility to be aware of developing legislation and policy that affects our employees, business operations, shareholders, suppliers, customers and local communities so that we have the knowledge to respond and adapt appropriately.
Our relationships with and links into Government, trade and public bodies are carried out in compliance with competition law and other relevant legislation. These are complemented by internal codes of business conduct including Tarmac's Rules of Business, Competition Law Compliance programme and Integrity Policy, as well as Anglo American's Good Citizenship principles.
