Tarmac Topblocks online seminar is a download success
Tarmac Topblock's first ever webinar - a live seminar first broadcast over the web on the 26th June 2007 - was a resounding success, with around 675 delegates registering to take part! And the number is ever increasing with more viewing the on-demand version every day!
The webinar - entitled 'Complying with the Code for Sustainable Homes: How to make your buildings sustainable for the long term' - is now also available to view from Tarmac Topblock's dedicated portal www.topblock.co.uk/sustain and has proved exceptionally popular, having already been viewed by hundreds of visitors to the site.
Delivered by technical services manager for Tarmac Topblock, Ian Gray, in conjunction with Andrew Minson, head of structural engineering for the Concrete Centre, the webinar focuses on the implications of the Code, with advice to help architects and specifiers understand how to meet the new technical guidelines as well as information on sustainability and product choice.
The seminar was so successful, that 35% of attendees said it had changed their opinion and that they would be specifying blocks in the future. This was on top of the 59% that would continue to use block work as a sustainable solution.
