3rd October 2006 - Tarmac opens the doors to Crown Farm Quarry

Tarmac's Crown Farm Quarry is opening its doors to the public for a fun filled family day out.


The fun day is being hosted by Tarmac on behalf of Cheshire County Council led Sandstone Ridge ECOnet Partnership and will be held on Saturday 14 October from 1pm to 4pm, and will be held at Crown Farm Quarry in Delamere, Cheshire.

John Bradshaw, Tarmac northwest estates manager, said: "We are really excited about the fun day. There's so much going on for both children and adults to enjoy."


"There will be a falconry show, basket weaving, badge making, 4x4 safari's of Crown Farm Quarry and local SREP projects and lots of competitions and prizes."


Steve Wilkinson, Cheshire County Councillor and SREP Chairman, said: "I am really pleased to be working in partnership with Tarmac."


"The recreation of heathland at Tarmac's Crown Farm Quarry will take shape over many years and have a lasting impact on everyone who lives, works and visits the area."
