Did you know?

- The TarMacadam Syndicate was formed on 17 June 1903 with a nominal capital of 25,000

- In 2004 - 2005 Tarmac manufactured eight million tonnes of asphalt, enough to pave the Great Wall of China ten times over

- Crushed lime, extracted by Tarmac, is used for paving, water purification, light bulbs, chewing gum and toothpaste


- Tarmac has been the proud sponsor of the National Hedgelaying Society for the past 18 years


- Tarmac used recycled books to provide an important part of the sub base for the M6 toll road
