Tarmac FoamMaster
Recycled Tarmac
FoamMaster from Tarmac combines proven foamed bitumen technology with cold mix
production and paving to bring you a sustainable, cost-effective and environmentally
friendly alternative to hot asphalt materials.
Tarmac's Recycling division is helping to make road construction more sustainable with an innovative system that reuses the existing asphalt surface to create new roads.
Normally, the material produced when a road surface is removed is disposed of - often to landfill - and a new surface is laid. Now, by using FoamMaster, Tarmac is helping to ensure that the old surface is saved and mixed with other aggregates to form part of the new road. As well as conserving resources, by reusing materials that are already on-site, recycled tarmac reduces the number of vehicle journeys needed to deliver aggregates, further reducing the carbon footprint of road-laying projects.
Where can I use Recycled Tarmac?
Available in various grades, it can be used for everything from standard applications to those requiring an extended shelf life. Contact us for further information or to discuss your project requirements.

FoamMaster Components
FoamMaster is essentially 88% highway arisings, 7% pulverised fuel ash, 2% cement and 3% bitumen, all mixed with water.
Both the TRL 611 report and SMART project have shown foamed bitumen materials to be direct alternatives to traditional base and binder course material in certain applications. Our quality-controlled process uses a Wirtgen KMA 200 recycling plant to ensure a consistent, strong and durable product.
