Eagles Flying High With Tarmac Sponsorship

The Kewford Eagles Under 7's South team have recently earned a 'big name sponsor' in the form of Tarmac Limited, something they say, makes them feel like 'mini professionals'.

Their new kit arrived just in time for them to take part in the Kewford Eagles 5-a-side tournament, with the Tarmac logo displayed proudly on their chests.

14 other teams entered their age group, and the Under 7's South team was placed in a group with four other teams. After an initial upset, the team went on to win their next three games, including a resounding 5-1 win, meaning they won their group on goal difference.

This put them through to the quarter-finals, where a strong performance led to a 2-0 win, booking them a semi-final tie with the Kewford Eagles West team. Unfortunately, even though another terrific performance, they lost 2-0 to the eventual winners.

Richard Green, head coach and corporate tax specialist at Tarmac, said: "I was extremely proud of my players as was the other coach and all of the parents. We all believe the boys will have an enjoyable and successful future and are pleased to have Tarmac associated with this."
