Tarmac sponsors Darvel Music Festival

Tarmac is the main sponsor of this year's Darvel Music Festival for a second year running, to the tune of 4,000 pounds.

The festival, which runs from 26 September to 7 October at Darvel Town Hall, Ayrshire will play host to a diverse range of acts including, Hue and Cry, Richmond Fontaine, Capercaillie, Iain Shaw Jazz Trio with special guest Guy Barker, Willy Clay Band and the Bluetones.

John Major, area director for Tarmac said: "It's fantastic to have such a globally renowned festival right on our doorstep and as an important local employer and supplier of building materials we're delighted to be able to support this event for a second year running. The Darvel festival is not only an important event on the calendar for the local community, but with visitors coming from all over the UK, it really puts Darvel on the map."
