Cub scout float was well dressed
The 3rd Buxton Cub Scouts had a particularly well-decorated float in Saturday's (14 July) Buxton Well Dressing Carnival, after a donation of green carpet from Tarmac Limited.
Representatives from Tarmac were approached by Mrs Musgrove, from the Harpur Hill Cub Scout group, at this years Hillhead exhibition, held recently at Tarmac's Hillhead Quarry, Harpur Hill, as their stand was covered with green carpet.
Mrs Musgrove said: "As the scouting movement is this year celebrating 100 years of scouting, the float was decked out as a scout camp, and the cub scouts dressed as they would have been 100 years ago. I asked the staff on the Tarmac stand whether I could have the carpet when the show closed and they were more than happy to oblige."
Mrs Musgrove continued: "It was very kind of Tarmac to donate the material and the cub scouts had a great day at the carnival."
