Laserpave setup

Laserpave

Many of todays environments require very high tolerance surfaces where the accuracy of levels is paramount to its construction. In response to this requirement Tarmac have developed a surface installation system known as Laserpave.

The system is a precision asphalt laying technique which utilises state of the art laser equipment to control the level of the screed on the paving machine and can achieve surface level tolerances of 3mm.

The system uses a remote tripod mounted self levelling rotating laser transmitter and two laser receivers fitted to each side of the tracked paving machine screed. These receivers are linked to the screed levelling control on the paving machine and make continuous adjustments to the screed as the material is laid.

Laserpave provides the base for a number of finishes to be installed providing the accurate base for their installation, for example in multi purpose asphalt playing surfaces or a tennis court the Laserpave surface can be finished with our CourtMaster or PlayMaster high performance leisure surfacing products.

A further use for Laserpave is the installation of high tolerance surfaces in distribution centre warehouses. The system consists of the accurate installation of open graded asphalt, to which the voids are then filled with a high strength cement based mortar. The end product is a high surface tolerance, semi flexible, jointless pavement ideally suited for use heavy trafficked areas where accuracy and durability are of paramount importance.
