Through our extensive experience of undertaking works across the UK we have gained a great deal of knowledge on what really matters to residents and road users when undertaking works on the public highway. Our aim is always to carry out all work in a safe, expedient and efficient manner with positive consideration given to the needs of not only the travelling public but also local residents and businesses likely to be affected by our activities.

We are aware of the effect that our works may have on the customer and will do all in our power to minimise delays, disruption and inconvenience.

Through a well-managed system of communication that provides an explanation of the challenges facing each scheme, we can promote the image of the client, the partners and the Construction Industry itself.

National contracting are Associate Members of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, which embraces good customer care, environmental and business principles dictating that an eight-point Code of Practice is adopted.

The scheme is designed to recognise the highest standards of management, encourage contractors to take a pride in the appearance of their site and minimise the effect on the general public.

Since August 2001 Tarmac has attained a result 15% above the industry average within the eight-point Code of Considerate Practice and we are particularly consistent in performing safely and operating as a good neighbour winning a total of 19 awards to date.
