Buxton Lime's products are used widely in Industry both for the manufacture of chemicals and finished products and also in the final treatment of effluents prior to discharge.

The Chemical Industry uses lime as either a source of calcium or alkali in the manufacture of chemicals as diverse as PCC (precipitated calcium carbonate), calcium citrate, sodium chloride and anthraquinone dyes.

The Iron and Steel and Non Ferrous Metals Industries use a range of different quality quicklimes at several stages of the production of high quality steels and non ferrous alloys.

Other uses of lime are found in such disparate manufacturing industries as agriculture, wire drawing, glass fibre production, lubricating oil additives, vitamins and leather tanning.
