Distribution

Buxton Lime and Cement products are distributed nationwide, both directly to the customer and via a network of agents. Cement is also distributed in bulk from a network of rail depots in Leeds, Walsall and London.

Products can be delivered by both road and rail and in a range of lot sizes and packaging.

Bulk deliveries are by air pressure discharge tanker, both tipping and non-tipping "belly" tanks and by tipping wagons for the larger lime sizes. Maximum lot sizes are 29 tonnes for Hydrated lime, 30 tonnes for both Quicklime and Cement.

Both Hydrated lime and Quicklime are available in 500 and 1000kg FIBC's (big bags) and 25kg sacks packed 40 to a pallet and shrink-wrapped.

Buxton Cement products are available in paper sacks ranging from 20kg for Limebond (packed 70 per shrink wrapped, 1.4 tonne pallet) to 25kg for both Packed Cement and Ultracem (packed 60 per shrink wrapped, 1.5 tonne pallet)

Both cement and some grades of Quicklime can be delivered directly to the customer's site by rail.
