Buxton Lime unveils its new branding drive

There's a fresh look and a fresh approach for the country's leading producer of lime and high-quality lime products.

Tarmac Buxton Lime and Cement is the new name for Buxton Lime Industries and it's re-launching into the market under a joint-branding initiative with parent, Tarmac Ltd.

Buxton's first-class line-up of products, such as Calbux quicklimes, Limbux hydrated limes and Kalic milk of lime, remains the same.

But the re-launch strengthens its position in the environmental, chemical and process industries, by drawing more directly on the resources of Tarmac.

"This is an exciting time for everyone involved," says Phil Richards, commercial director for Buxton Lime and Cement.

"Tarmac's name and resources have already added significant weight and value to our business. Tarmac recognises the value of retaining the Buxton brand name and its rich association with purity, quality products and service. It is also timely that we reflect the growing importance of our cement business in our trading name."

The re-branding will be rolled-out from April. It will include a new line-up of product literature and a new website for Buxton's lime products. This will guide customers to their specific application areas and contain extensive technical information.

There will be no disruption for customers or staff as Buxton has been part of the Tarmac group for the past six years. Tarmac in turn is owned by Anglo American, the global mining and natural resources group which turns over US$ 34 billion a year.

"The re-branding is the next step in enabling Buxton Lime and Cement to build upon Tarmac's strong values and reputation in the market. It will also open up new opportunities for our business," says Phil Richards.

For Tarmac, the Buxton name is a major asset. It is one of the most respected brands in the business - recent research among customers in preparation for the re-branding confirms that, making it vital that the well-established Buxton brand name is retained. "Although our look has changed it's business as usual. We remain dedicated to offering the same high quality products and professional customer service," Phil Richards adds.
