Tarmac PathMaster - Cold lay tarmac for pathways

PathMaster™ is a permanent cold-lay reinstatement material designed for footpaths, footways and cycle tracks available in 0/6mm, 0/10mm and 0/20mm macadams. BBA HAPAS approved, PathMaster™ is a quick and cost effective one stop solution to temporary reinstatement macadams that require replacement with a hot-lay material at a later date.

Traditionally, the reinstatement of small excavations requires considerable amounts of costly labour, plant and transport. Specially formulated for fast, one-stop permanent reinstatements, PathMaster™ effectively addresses these problems.

PathMaster™ can be used in binder and surface course reinstatement, requiring just one site visit and reducing wastage and costs. Health and safety is improved and the environment is protected. PathMaster™ reinstatements offer a consistent aesthetic finish and once placed and compacted the pathway can be used right away.

Availability & Storage - bulk loads & bags of Tarmac's cold lay asphalt

PathMaster™ is available nationwide in bulk loads or 25kg bags. Pre-packed, it can be stored for up to 12 weeks and in bulk up to 5 days, enabling emergency and ‘out of hours’ work to be undertaken in one visit. Any unused material can be restocked for later use, saving raw materials and energy. In all cases of on-going storage PathMaster must be protected from frost to ensure consistent and optimum performance.

PathMaster permanent reinstatement

The reinstatement of small excavations traditionally requires large amounts of labour, plant and transport.

The use of temporary reinstatement macadams, which are replaced at a later date with hot-lay materials, result in the additional costs associated with repeat site visits, barriers, lights, surplus materials, tipping charges and landfill taxes. PathMaster can reduce these operational costs of a reinstatement operation..

The Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways permits surface course materials to also be used as the binder course in small openings and narrow trenches. This means that PathMaster™ can be used for binder and surface course reinstatement.

Specially formulated for fast, one-stop permanent reinstatements, PathMaster is manufactured using approved 0/6mm, 0/10mm and 0/20mm aggregates at dedicated production units.

The result is an exceptionally consistent product which, after compaction, is ready for immediate trafficking.
